It was Mini Day at Brooklands on Sunday the 25th March 2012, and this year, the Museum in association with the London and Surrey Mini Owners Club, sponsored by MiniSpares and Palmer Brothers, managed to set a world record for the fastest build of a Classic Mini.

The car had been stripped down into modular parts and the team of eight rebuilt the vehicle replicating the production line at Longbridge, before racing the car up the legendary 1:8 Test Hill. The car, a 1990 Mini Flame Red, was raffled at the end of the day. The build was finished in an astonishing 4 hours 5 minutes and 46 seconds

Congratulations to the team
