Weather:- Dry, warm and very sunny.

 

Sarah Munns made a good start, howeverEndaf Owens made a better start going round the outside at the first corner theHairpin, She tucked in behind him and by the 3rd corner had a few car lengthslead over Kane Astin, Paul Thompson, Colin Peacock and Niven Burge were the topsix, then disaster struck and Sarah spun off at corner 3, The reason: notwarming up the rear tyres enough during the warm up lap. Joined the back of thepack in 16th place.

By lap 4 was upto 14th place with thetop six as follows:- Endaf, Kane, Paul, Mark Sims, Niven and Dave Drew.

By lap 6 upto 13th place with the topsix as follows the same as above.

By lap 11 made another place with theKane getting past Endaf and taking the lead closely followed by Paul, those 3having broken away from Niven, Mark Sims and Dave Drew.

With the race completed, Sarah finished10th on the road, but due to a technical fault, Kane having lost his exhaustduring the race, he was found to be under weight post race scruitineering andwas excluded from the results, so the top ten as follows:- 1. Endaf Owens.

Sunday 27th June (Round 5)

Weather, dry, warm and cool breeze.

 

This time Sarah made a good start andhad warmed up the tyres sufficiently and lead the race for the first 5 laps!top six as

follows:- Sarah, Endaf, Kane, Paul,Colin Peacock and Mark Sims, then Endaf nipped past Sarah under braking intothe hairpin, she followed him closely for 3 laps, having got along side him acouple of times down the back straight, resulting in him giving Sarah a heftyshove, breaking wheel arches and denting the sill and pushing her off thetrack.

Lap 8 Sarah out-braked herself at theHairpin and ran wide, just enough for Kane to nip past, at this point Endaf,Kane, Sarah and Paul were 3 seconds ahead of the rest of the pack and were lessthan half second between them.

Lap 11 - Endaf broke down - brokencrank or gearbox

 

Sarah tried everything to get pastKane, but he mad his mini very wide.

 

Over the line Kane was 0.11 of a secondahead of Sarah with Paul just

0.05 of a second behind, so a veryclose and great race.

Sarah missed out on fastest lap by 0.1of second to Endaf who got the fastest lap when she was towed him around in thefirst 4 laps.

Importation rules regarding vehicles are very specific: Only those over 25 years in age may be brought in to the USA without compilance to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
