After a very successful 2019 All Mini Race 60th Birthday celebration held at Aldo Scribante Racetrack in Port Elizabeth South Africa, we are back! It’s almost time again to call on all Mini owners to get together to enjoy another Mini Race Day/Weekend. We are also glad to share that Boxer Group one of the biggest stockists of Classic mini spares in South Africa will be the title sponsor for this event.

During the 2019 – 60th Mini Birthday celebration we saw sixteen Minis compete in the three heats all Mini race and ten Minis compete in the three-heat streetcar race. There were some first-time racers in their road Minis competing in the streetcar race. Some Mini owners had driven their Minis almost 1000Km, raced their Minis and then drove back home. In the All-Mini races, we saw sixteen full race Minis take part, for some drivers it was their first time racing a Mini. For the first time in South Africa, we got to see an All-Mini race, not all Mini owners chose to race, and some owners planned road trips and travelled from all around south Africa to Port Elizabeth to spectate and spend time with fellow Mini owners.

On the 22nd of October 2022 the Boxer Group Classic Mini Challenge will be held in Port Elizabeth at Aldo Scribante racetrack. Algoa Motorsport Club have invited Mini enthusiasts and Classic Mini race car drivers to join them on the 22nd of October 2022 at Aldo Scribante Racetrack in Port Elizabeth for an All-Mini Race. Mini racers will be joining their regional race meeting where there will be a three heat All-Mini race for Minis that are Motorsport South Africa (MSA) compliant. Prizes and trophies will be awarded for various categories.

The All-Mini race is only open to compliant Classic Mini race cars. No Stock cars, the rules and regulations will be published accordingly. Those who wish to race their street legal Minis can enter the Streetcar/Fine car race. This will be a MSA event requiring all competitors to have a MSA license. MSA one day Licenses will be available at the track. Mini owners who will not be racing are kindly invited to join in their Minis and enjoy the days racing/weekend with likeminded Mini enthusiasts.
