HI PERFORMANCE RADIATORS

The standard radiator is barely sufficient to cool the standard specification engines. Modifications to increase performance also increases heat generated by the engine, so a more efficient radiator is a necessity. The C-ARA4442/3 are the latest technology has to offer having a supremely efficient two core design The C-ARA 4444 four core is the original hi-performance radiator we developed to alleviate over-heating problems on modified engines. It should be noted that the two-core design is not suitable for motorsports where a barrage of debris (i.e. stones, mud or ash) is to be experienced such as grass track or autocross. The fins are to delicate to withstand this, so use of the four core radiator is advised. To ensure longevity and correct performance of these radiators, there are a number of points to observe when fitting:-

1 First and foremost, whatever the installation, it is absolutely essential that the radiator is NOT fitted under tension by any of its mountings.
2 When fitting into the cowlings, because of manufacturing tolerances of the pressings, the cowl of the radiator screw holes may not line up. If this is the case, carefully elongate the holes in the required direction with a file until all screws go into their respective threaded inserts without having to force the cowl into position.
3 Make sure the screws/bolts you are using are the correct thread and length. The wrong thread will cause damage to the inserts leading to possible loss of the fixing by vibration. Screws that are too long will also pierce the core causing damage and leakage. These radiators when brought new from us contain the correct screws.
4 Use the correct top radiator bracket and rubber bushes/bolts for the engine/head fitted (i.e. a 998 bracket is not suitable for a 1275cc based engine/head and the type of cowl used.
5 Use the correct top radiator hose to suit the engine/head installation.
6 Ensure the radiator fan is on the right way round. The flanged washer of the metal inserts where the retaining bolts fit through the fan should be facing the radiator.
7 Continual overheating and over-pressurising of the cooling system will disfigure and damage the radiator core ultimately leading to failure. For any further advise on installation with regard to the correct components, please contact us

Importation rules regarding vehicles are very specific: Only those over 25 years in age may be brought in to the USA without compilance to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
