The Minispares backed Bill Richards Racing team has completed another busy season with two cars having been in regular action throughout the year.

The 8 Port Clubman has once again enjoyed a superb season winning Class E of the BARC Dunlop Motorsport News (DMN) Saloon Car Championship, finishing second overall in the same championship and winning Class 2 of the SEMSEC Saloon and Sports Car Championship.  The 5 Port has also had a good year finishing second in Class T3 of the BARC Cannons Tin Tops Championship despite contesting only a limited number of rounds due to commitment clashes.

The intense racing and varied grid in the DMN championship has seen some of the best on track action this year with everything from battling Minis to World Rally cars, Super Touring cars and 700bhp flame spitting Nissan Skylines going wheel to wheel, the eclectic lineup providing non stop action throughout the field from lights to flag and often proving to be the highlight of race meetings.  The DMN championship has played to some large crowds over the course of the season featuring on the bill of the BTRA Truck meetings at Brands Hatch as well as the Lydden Hill festival of motorsport each time delivering action packed races to an enthralled audience.

Both cars have proved to be extremely competitive throughout the season and have collected outright race wins during the course of the year.  The Clubman in particular has continued its giant killing act of recent years often beating far more powerful machinery.  The Clubman also triumphed in the battle of the Minis in Class E of the DMN championship, outpacing and outracing its rivals regularly throughout the year to finish on top in the end of season standings after a hard fought contest.

The reliability of both cars has been outstanding with both cars taking points from every meeting attended throughout the season – testimony to the quality of the engineering, the Minispares components used and the hard work and dedication of the team.  The teams thanks must go once again to Minispares for their valued support throughout the season.
