The Bill Richards Racing Team had mixed fortunes during the 2010 season. The Team opted to chase 2 Championships. The Dunlop Motorsport News Modified Saloon Championship with our Minispares backed Mini Clubman and the SEMSEC Saloon championship with our Metro (Maguire Mini Spaceframe ‘wearing’ a Metro body.)

Things were going to plan, with the Clubman taking Class wins and amassing points when disaster struck during round 4 at Brands Hatch. The Mini got caught up in someone else’s huge accident, which resulted in Bill being rushed to hospital and the Clubman being totally destroyed. Minispares sourced and supplied a new Heritage body shell, and provided replacements for parts that couldn’t be salvaged from the old car. The new car debuted at Lydden Hill just two months later, taking 2 Class wins and 2nd and 3rd overall, not bad considering the first time it had moved under it’s own power was on the way to scrutineering that morning! The points earned by both cars gave Bill the DMN Class C title despite having missed 4 rounds mid season. The new car has gone from strength to strength and with Bill now well on the way to a complete recovery they make a formidable team
