Brands Hatch 2nd/3rd November - The last round of the QMN Championship

Expectations were not very high due to the weather the forecast that was given at the time of Qualification - very light rain. As we expected we qualified 18th overall from 38, however spirits in the Mad Dog camp were kept alive by the reports that the 2 races on Sunday were to be on a dry circuit, these conditions suit the Mini and it should come into its own.
Race 1.

The final of the QMN was to be held in dry conditions and expectations were high of a good result. This tragically was short lived, because of a spinning Clio car on the exit of Druids this caused absolute mayhem. Resulting in impacts from 4 cars on the clubman.

After a visit to the medical centre Bill was released into the care of his team. The battered Mini Clubman was returned to the camp by the crew. It was decided there was too much damage even for the Mad Dog Team to repair for race 2.

The Mini will now be returned to the Workshop for damage assessment and further modification for next years Championship in 2014. A sad end but grateful Bill is relatively unscathed even though the car is well and truly battered.
