Once the race was back underway, Comis again was threatening the leading pack. A late dive up the inside of old sparing partner, Dave Rees, had to be aborted as the door was firmly shut. It was only a matter of time: As they exited Barn, they were greeted by another incident and in avoiding this, lost out two places. Championship moved back to the UK, and more reasonable temperatures to be strapped in to a tin can, for rounds 7 & 8 on the International circuit at Oulton Park. Read more
After a break of 9 months since the Isle of Man rally in September last year we started the year with the ORC Canal Rally on 1st June and the Geko Rally Wervik on 14th June, both in Belgium located about 15km east of Ypres.
David Smalley (pic 1) joined me again for the Canal Rally in the usual Minispares Cooper S “277 BRX”. A wedding prevented him from doing Wervik and I was co driven on that one by Graham Carter who has rallied with me... Read more
Rounds 3 & 4 at Brands Hatch Mini Festival were almost 3 weeks ago but nevertheless I'll get typing and give a quick preview for this weekend's event at Cadwell Park. The weather was a bit of a mixed bag at Brands Hatch and I have to admit, the wind is not my favourite, especially when there are gazebo's in question! We didn't sail off into the distance so that's good but we did come away with some good learning outcomes, best quali position and good points in the bag. Read more
