Forget all the universal shape gaskets available - this is the original correct shape made out of thick gasket paper.
Genuine version of the thermostat gasket for all A series. Black one side and red the other they are fitted black side to the head. Green to the thermostat.
We have no evidence as yet that they last longer but do look good.
