Called the rear bonnet seal it actually sits in the windscreen front scuttle panel on all minis up to 1991. This is the shape and size neoprene foam seal that we have found works best and has an adhesive backing to make fitting easier and less messy.
The safest way to have a bonnet lock is an internal release type, as fitted to all the late Minis FROM 1992/3 on. The kit includes a new catch with bolts, correct length cable and bracket to fit at the end of the parcel shelf. Not suitable for clubma...
If you want to hold it in place then this is easy and simple. 4" long rubber hooks can be used on bonnet and/or boot lid. Packaged in pairs with both brackets.

Around 1990 they moved the bonnet buffers from the hole fittings on the slam panel to the sides of the bonnet opening. Common sense says these will work on any year Mini. THESE ARE STICK ON TYPES and useful for sticking anywhere on the bonnet landing...
This seal actually fits on the scuttle lip and was always included in the ignition electrics protection kits. Found on all years of cars but fitted as standard in the 80s for a while.
These heavy duty bonnet pins 4" long and 1/2" thick are favoured by competition car owners to stop the bonnet accidentally coming up. They will require drilling holes in your bonnet and sold in pairs only.
All twin point injected minis were fitted with an in-cabin cable release for the bonnet lock and this later type had a plastic insert for the bonnet pin to travel through. This is part of a complete kit we have for any minis, see GS130273
