In 1996 when Rover fitted the front mounted radiator they had to change the bonnet design moving the safety catch and bonnet release pin locating area. Otherwise it looked the same.

The UK cars had the bonnet safety catch in the middle whereas the Japanese spec left it on the right hand side looking at the car from the front.
