Paper gasket fitted between the rear wheel cylinder and the backplate. Once supplied with genuine wheel cylinders AP now seem to have discontinued this practice.

If your wheel cylinder does not bolt on it uses this special clip. Some new wheel cylinders come with this clip included so check on ordering.
