3 of these bolt are used on the speedo housing gearbox front cover-they used to be 53K1474 studs 3.75" long but change to this bolt in 1985 3.25"long 5/16"unc
with tuflock patch to secure.

The shims go against the mainshaft double roller bearing securing cap in your gearbox to give it pre load. See workshop manual for advice but you are aiming for only 1 thou pre load.
