Filter housing for spin-on filter.
This housing uses a 1/4 npt taper thread union.
The later type (92onwards) 12A engine numbers has 11/16" thread size.
For performance use see 12A2032RACE.
Block to filter head gasket when spin on type filter is used (except billet types which use 88G402). The black side goes against the engine and the red against the filter. This also has a sealant strip on it to help stop leaks.
