Brass type core plug for engine. Originally, engines had brass oilway plugs (2K1345) 1/4" hole fitted. These cup type plugs replaced them about 1985. 12.7mm cup type plug about 9.6mm deep. Fits 1/2" hole.

The 8 port head is taller than standard A series heads so these MGB short head studs are used on the front--4 3/8" long 3/8" UNC stud with unf end for head nut. These studs are also used for rod change gearbox differential housings.

A great deal of timing scatter can be traced to a worn gear at the inside end of the dizzy drive but if yours has been lost or broken the 12G4499MS secondhand used units will get you out of trouble.
